Find your firmness.

There’s no single right amount of air. It depends on three things, and it can change during the day.

YouYour build and the way you sit. More body weight needs a little more air.

Your seatPadded seat: softer. Hard seat: firmer.

Around youHeat and altitude make the air expand, so it feels firmer. Cold makes it softer. On a plane, readjust once you’re in the air.

The right air for every seat

Padded seatPlane, car, sofa: fill it about 40%, then sit in it.

Hard seatBench, bleachers, floor: fill it 60–70%.

Too firm?Let a little air out with the red button.

The check: sit down. You should sink into the cells without feeling the seat beneath you. Too firm? Stand up, press one cell and the red button. Too soft? Open the cap, add a few pumps.

cLay it flat. Pump with both thumbs.

When to stop

Every cell is filled, but still soft when you press it.

Step 02 of 03 · Adjust

Sit.

Sit in it, not on it.

Deflate & pack

cClose the valve. Fold it in four. Put it in its bag.

Good to know

The valves feel stiff at first. They loosen with use.
Slow start? Keep pumping. Once the air spreads, every pump shows — the very first time takes a little longer.
A light new-product smell? Leave it in a well-ventilated room — it fades.
On a plane, or in extreme heat or cold, firmness shifts a little. That’s physics. Readjust: a few pumps to firm it up, or the red button to let air out.
